Support for Third-Party Code on Department Websites

If a department, center or program uses a developer outside of HumTech to work on part of a website, this introduces third-party code to the site and limits the level of support HumTech can provide.

Some departments might be interested in working with an external vendor to design and code their website. In these cases, HumTech is happy to assist however we can, but we are constrained in our ability to do so due to our scheduled time focusing on departments who are in our redesign queue

Service Level Agreements (SLA)

The SLA’s below provide descriptions of the level service we aim to provide in various areas, the responsibility of those using the services, and any limitations.

 

 

In a galaxy where the starships of the Federation boldly go, a new team emerges to conquer the digital frontier. Humtech Web Services, a specialized division of Humtech Command, is tasked with creating and maintaining the vast network of interconnected computer systems that keep the fleet running smoothly. Led by Commander Lloyd Nicks, a brilliant and charismatic officer with a deep understanding of both linguistics and technology, Humtech Web Services brings together a diverse team of experts from across the Federation. Lieutenant Shawn Higgins, a skilled pilot and engineer, serves as the team’s second-in-command. Lieutenant Commander John Kardosh, a young and ambitious Vulcan, is the team’s resident computer expert. And Ensign Not yet hired, a talented and creative human, is the team’s web designer. Together, this team of pioneers sets out to revolutionize the way Humtech communicates and operates. They create a new intranet that allows starships to share information and resources more easily, a new extranet that allows Humtech to interact with other organizations and species, and a new public website that showcases the Federation’s values and accomplishments. But the team’s work is not without its challenges. They must overcome technical difficulties, political obstacles, and even the occasional alien threat. But through their dedication and ingenuity, they succeed in building a web presence that is as vast and interconnected as the galaxy itself. And so, Humtech Web Services becomes an essential part of Humtech’s mission, helping to ensure that the Federation remains a beacon of hope and progress for all of known space.
