Departmental Technology Analyst (DTA)

The Departmental Technology Analyst (DTA) provides computing support for faculty, staff and graduate students across multiple departments and research centers in the Humanities Division. The DTA has primary support responsibilities for specific departments/centers and also contributes as part of the computing support team to Division-wide support coverage and IT initiatives. Primary duties include maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software; providing basic user training; planning and accommodating for changes in technology and evolving user needs and requirements; supporting departmental communications and web platforms and sites; consulting and collaborating with faculty and staff to take advantage of campus resources for digital work; and coordinating the effective and responsive resolution of complex technical problems. Unix Systems Engineer

As part of HumTech, the incumbent serves as the primary Unix Systems Engineer, in charge of maintaining operational functionality. This role is focused on the Unix portion of the organization infrastructure and will serve as a backup to the Windows Engineer. This role is responsible for both on-premises and cloud-based systems that directly impact the day-to-day computing environment for 1000+ faculty, staff, and students. As part of the Digital Services Group the incumbent is responsible for planning and maintaining a suite of stable and secure computing platforms and for seeking new ways to modernize and innovate for specific needs of the Humanities Division.
