The Impact of Data, Prediction, and Policing in Poor and Working-Class Communities

Join us for the UCLA Information Studies Department’s panel discussion on data and surveillance in communities here in Los Angeles. We are hosting Virginia Eubanks, author of Digital Dead End: Fighting for Social Justice in the Information Age, and members of the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition in a discussion on the use of data for predictive policing in and surveillance of particular local communities.

The event is PANEL_DATA&POLICINGfree and open to the public.
