Demystifying Open: Open Scholarship for Graduate Students in Humanities and Social Science

January 22, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Early career researchers are increasingly embracing the open scholarship movement, which advocates broad public access to and reusability of research results, educational materials, and data. Many funders and institutions including the UC system have policies requiring openness in published scholarship.

Though open efforts have primarily focused on the hard sciences, there are increasing opportunities for graduate students in the humanities and social sciences. This event will feature speakers who will offer insights and answer questions related to publishing, policy, and the open movement in general.

Lunch will be provided, with a reception after the event.

Admission is free, but reservations are requested by January 15 to Demystifying Open RSVP
