IndieCade co-founder and author of Communities of Play will talk about play communities, social sculpting and curating culture in the context of multiplayer games, the independent game community, and artgames. Included will be discussion of Dr. Pearce’s anthropological research, curation and festival organizing, as well as current and recent game and artgame projects, including her collaboration as artist-in-residence with UCLA’s CLIT lab.
