Analyze– Text-Analysis/Text Mining with Voyant and Mallet (sixty minutes)

Wondering what text-mining is all about? In this interactive, engaging workshop, we’ll provide an overview and comparison of two methods/tools: text analysis using the user-friendly, web-based Voyant, and a more powerful text-mining tool: MALLET. We’ll explore and compare these two methods with hands-on work using sample texts. In addition, we’ll discuss digital research projects that use both methods. Taught by Zoe Borovsky, Ph.D. Librarian for Digital Research and Scholarship.
