HumStaffUCLA Slack Quick Install Guide

How to get started — it’s easy!

  • Step 1: Create your Account

    1. Visit https://humstaffucla.slack.com/signup
    2. Enter your UCLA email address and click Create Account.
    3. Check your inbox for a confirmation email from Slack. Open the email and click Confirm email.
    4. Choose HumStaffUCLA workspace and click Join workspace to create an account.
    5. Enter all required infomration, click Next, then agree to the terms and conditions.

    You are now signed up with Slack! You may continue using Slack through your web browser. If you prefer, you can download the Slack software to your computer or device using the instructions below.

  • Step 2: Download the Slack software

      • Option 1, Desktop App: 
        1. Visit https://slack.com/downloads
        2. Click Download, open the downloaded file and follow the instructions to install the desktop application.
        3. Open Slack application, then enter the workspace name: HumStaffUCLA and click Continue.
        4. Sign in using your UCLA email address and password that you created in Step 1. You are now signed in with the Slack computer application!
      • Option 2, Apple iOS Device App: 
        1. Find Slack in the App Store
        2. Tap the Get button. Or, if you’ve downloaded Slack before, tap Open.
        3. Tap Open to launch Slack. If you’ve exited the App store, find the Slack icon and tap it to launch the app.
        4. Tap Sign in and select I’ll sign in manually.
        5. Enter in the workspace name: HumStaffUCLA and tap Go or Next.
        6. Enter your UCLA email address and password that you created in Step 1. You are signed in on your Apple mobile device!
      • Option 3, Android Device App: 
        1. Find Slack in the Google Play Store
        2. Tap the Install button. Check the permissions that appear, and tap Accept to continue.
        3. Open the Slack application and Sign In and select I’ll sign in manually. 
        4. Enter in workspace name: HumStaffUCLA and click Go or Next.
        5. Enter your UCLA email address and password that you created in Step 1. You are signed in on your Android mobile device!
