Winter Wednesday Workshops: Text-Analysis with Python from Scratch

Alina Arseniev-Koehler, Bernard Koch, and Ian Peacock (Sociology) will show Python tools and methods for manipulating and mining text data. No prior programming experience is required. We’ll cover basic programming ideas, tools in Python to manipulate text data (e.g., regular expressions), and introduce algorithms for text mining, with example research applications.
