Emma Ridder is a Ph.D. candidate in UCLA’s Department of English focusing on 20th-century literature and film, film theory and visual culture studies, and sexuality studies. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015 with a B.A. in English and a minor in history. She earned her M.A. in English at UCLA in 2021 and has completed graduate certificates in Experimental Critical Theory and in Writing Pedagogy. As a teaching fellow at UCLA, Emma teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses on literature, film, writing, and pedagogy. She works as a RITC and Digital Humanities GSR for Digital Humanities projects and tech support with Bruin Learn.
