Stacey Shin

Stacey is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of English. Her research interests include late 20th and 21st Century American literature, speculative and science fiction, and race and ethnicity. Her dissertation examines the intersection of time, space, and race in Afrofuturist cultural production. She earned an A.B. in English at the University of Chicago.

At UCLA, she has taught courses in the Department of English, the Freshman Summer Program, and the Center for Community Learning. She has also coordinated programs at the Undergraduate Research Center and the Academic Advancement Program.
