Jaehyeon Park is a Ph.D. student in the Urban Planning department in the Luskin School of Public Affairs at UCLA. He is interested in understanding the complexity of urban informality at the intersection of housing and environmental issues in Indonesia, and broadly in Southeast Asia. Jaehyeon earned a B.S. and M.S. in architecture from Seoul National University, South Korea. He is a frequent backpacking traveller (40+ countries in 5 continents so far), unfortunately restricted in the pandemic time though, and usually finds academic/life inspirations during his trips.
