As Director and Humanities CIO at HumTech, I oversee technology solutions and support for faculty, staff and students in the humanities and digital humanities at UCLA, and bring humanities-focused expertise to research and instructional technology projects and services. I have worked at HumTech since completing my UCLA PhD in Slavic Linguistics in 2001. At HumTech, I manage a team of 25 career and student staff, and I consider it my most important job to empower my team in their many and varied collaborations with faculty, students, and technology partners on a variety of technology-enabled projects and problems. With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education IT at UCLA, I have also made it a priority to collaborate broadly beyond HumTech and Humanities, which has enabled me to lead and serve in IT governance (Common Systems Group, CCLE Standards & Practices Group) and on multiple exciting cross-campus projects including the Scholarly Innovation Lab (SIL), the Digital Research Consortium (DRC), and UC Women in IT.

In my free time I enjoy cycling, cooking, gardening, learning languages, singing in a community choir, and spending time with my family.
