LTI- Hypothesis
Hypothesis is a third-party, LTI tool that facilitates student annotation of source material within learning management systems like Bruin Learn. Students can comment on and highlight material, share ideas and ask questions in their annotations, and tag peers for ongoing conversations.
When to Use It
Hypothesis can be used as a note-taking and research tool. Use Hypothesis when you want students to annotate course content like class readings, news items, and so on. For example, you might use Hypothesis for a collaborative close reading analysis. These annotations can facilitate ongoing discussions between students and instructors.
How to Use It
To use Hypothesis,
Create a new assignment.
Under submission type, choose external tool.
Scroll down the list and select Hypothesis.
